Well, as always you cause me to think unconventionally in order to critique your... that's a special trait you possess as an artist.

As for the piece... "Escape"; I love the colors, the dark green and blues, and dark reds surrounding the face which would speak to her subjection to an atmosphere of envy, greed, sadness and rage (hence the significance of color). I see small bent lines going left under a brighter array of colors on the top left corner of the canvas; they resemble electric shocks which come across to me like firing neurons and impulses which would perfectly explain her expression (beautifully portrayed by the way <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="=)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="390" title="=) (Smile)"/>). Her sight set to towards a possible prospect of freedom, masked by a facade to dissuade unlookers from her inner exhilaration, coupled with a fiery determination to be free from bondage.
